Can you be kind and yet a strong leader in a political environment?

I have been asked this question a lot. 

I am convinced the answer is YES 💯

But it is true that some values might appear to be not compatible with what a senior leadership position requires. 

I think what is important is to make the difference between a value you live by and the behaviour you need to demonstrate depending on the situation.

Here is what I try to remember:

☑️ you can be kind but not weak

☑️ you can be strong but not rude

☑️ you can be clear and straightforward but not disrespectful 

☑️ you can be humble but not shy

☑️ you can be proud but not arrogant
